SPHERE ENIGMA INAUGURATED BY ALBERT II, PRINCE OF MONACO
On Saturday the 8th of September 2012 there was the inauguration of Gianfranco Meggiato’s sculpture, “Sphere Enigma”, during the Art-Bre exhibition in Cap Martin Park in Roquebrune, near Montecarlo. The Prince Albert II bodily opened the event. Gianfranco Meggiato, the only italian artist invited to this international contest of sculpture, presented his artwork. The monumental artwork misuring 190” in diameter and weighing 11.000 pounds is 236” high and is enterely made of stainless steel and bronze. In the park there is another Meggiato’s artwork: the Doble Totem, 102” high. The event is the main among the cultural ones of September, the month dedicated to the artistic heritage in France with a praise to the sculpture en plein air, a type of public art, admirable in one of the most delightful place in the Provenza where the “Sphere Enigma” seems a jewel jem set in the nature.
